Bus trip to Kurri Kurri to see the 74 Murals with a local Guide to give us a history of the town and murals. Includes a morning tea break at the Kurri Kurri Park with toilet facilities. The tour will start at 10:30, finishing at about 12:00. Then we will proceed to Morpeth for lunch at own expense and time to window shop. Kurri Kurri and the surrounding villages have over 60 outdoor public artworks on display, showcasing the history and heritage of this region. The murals provide a visual journey, telling the stories of the people, events and places that shaped the area’s unique character, culture and heritage. An image of a kookaburra, the emblem of Kurri Kurri, is contained in each of the murals. See if you can spot them all! |
